An interesting fact that the news reported. 2008 is actually the longest year in 16 years. Longest in terms of seconds in fact. Plus the fact that 2008 is a leap year.
So 2009 is knocking on our doors in a matter of days! With a new year comes new year resolutions.
I have a few of my own. Hope that the list aint exhuastive or overly ambitious.
1. To be a better person, to both myself and more importantly those around me.
2. To finally get some A's on my report card.
3. To stop shouting when climbing (a little hard).
Post trip sentiments
I came back from Malaysia looking like I have put on quite a bit of muscle, and even more fats I think. Honestly I think I didnt climb that much to gain all that muscle. Think it's time to lose weight since competition is nearing. 55kg or less, here I come!!
While on the trip, I read the Jan 2009 issue of Rock and Ice. Very interesting Articles inside. But the one that got me inspired was the one which and I quote "Weighted Chin-ups are good, for doing chin ups". Well basically what the article was refering to was that doing campus training and all that weighted training aint as beneficial as just climbing and focusing on technique and precise footwork. Those few sentences above shall make up 80% of my training program for the upcoming semester. The other 20% will of course be the weighted training that Mr Jenny Jensen enforces, as well as my swimming. Let's hope that I can get stronger and put the past injury(s) I had behind me.
Wish me luck!
