Better start blogging before stuff starts to pile up..
In the last 2-3 weeks, many have asked about the taping on my left foot. I shall now englighten those who are still curious but too afraid to ask.
Insertional Tendinitis of the Archilles Tendon
Thats the diagnosis given to me by the physiotherapist at UHWC. To think that I have carried this injury for the past 22 months. The cause? Standard Chartered Marathon 2006. The pain that I have been experiencing is not excruciating. Rather, it is more of the irritant kind. I have ran with it, even ran hard with it. But in anycase, I suddenly decided to go get it checked and yes, the medical term was introduced to me for the first time. Despite leaving it untreated for such a long time, the treatment that the physiotherapist, Leslie, has been giving me seems to be working. Let's hope that I will be 100% recovered in the very near future!
This is me, doing electrotherapy.
I went shopping on a saturday. Levis had this offer where we could get $50 off for any pair of jeans above $100 by bringing in an old pair of jeans regardless of the brand. I guess chinese new year shopping came early this time around. I got a pair of 522, dark coloured with a little fading, and paid $99.90 for it. Not a bad deal actually.
Some of the models that were with me.
I have been resting (not climbing) for about 4 weeks now. Will do so for another week before participating in Climb-On, the annual climbing carnival organised by Climb Asia this coming sunday. I should be able to estimate the condition of my 2 little left forearm tendons. My team consists of:
1. Ex Captain, but still called Planet, Edwin
2. Ex Janitor, but still doing janitor work as a captain, Jensen
3. Matthew The Rock Star!!
4. Me!
Together, we are: The Brotherhood of Deformed Joints
3 extra strong guys, with 1 not that strong guy. Oh well, I'll do all I can to push our team up the rankings! Top 5 here we come!
