Lets see. Oh I handed over my post as manager to Kenneth. He got the highest number of votes. While I cant immediately tell him what the roles of a NUS Climbing Team manager are, I shall slowly let him know what to expect and what to take note. The rest is up to him. I know he will do a good job! Someone wanted me to stay as manager. I wonder who and why. Will the person tell me in private? Please? I am really curious to know!
Oh and yes. I am in open. One of the 2 birthday wishes came true. The other one is *ahem*, well still in the making I guess. Anyways yes nobody, including me, expected that. I was, and am still injured, though I can safely say that I am about 85% recovered. There is still slight pain at times but it aint pain that I cant endure. Entering open at this stage just before the holidays also gave me a breather for the whole of June. I thought that I was a goner and had to postpone my Open cat dream by 1 year. Therefore, my intended holiday plan was to train like hell. Instead, I am now climbing at my own pace. Climbing hard when I need to. And resting well on other days, which is also good cuz my tendons need time to recover. My hardcore training program will officially start the moment I start climbing in Krabi(flying off this Sunday 29th June). 3 weeks of intense climbing. I am definitely looking forward to it.
Wanna make a guess?
Ops manning from 24th June - 1st July. A shitty time to be on standby. Team dinner is on 28th June at Hog's Breath and I got a call from my Detachment IC saying that the chances of being activated are 99.999999999%. "The entire brigade is on standby" he said. I could care less if it were any other week but since mobilisation takes place at the weekend (higher chance on Saturday than Sunday), I could miss my team dinner argh!! I am praying with all the faith that I can muster that the mobilisation will be on a Sunday cuz by the time the button is pushed, I would be somewhere over Thailand Hehe!! Please Please Not On A Saturday!!
HK cafe for supper. Met up with the usual gang. 6 of us. Never a dull moment when I am with them. Lame old jokes that last a lifetime. New jokes that are constantly made up. This strong bond between us will last forever.
Screw you Starhub for wasting my time.
