Hokkaido!!

My family took a total of more than 800 shots while in Japan. But of course, it will be quite difficult to put up every single shot so I will just summarise the trip while trying not to leave out too many important details. Here goes:

Day 1
Our departure was at T3 and the place rocks!! I caught a glimpse of the A380 which I did not take.

Day 2
We arrived at Narita Airport at Tokyo and took a bus which ferried us to their domestic airport called Hanada. From there, we took a 1 hr flight to Chitose Airport and we finally arrived at Hokkaido! The first thing we did when we touched down was to go have lunch.

After that we went to the Sake production factory. According to the tour guide, water that is used flows from the mountains, which is why the sake produced is award winning. Apparently lots of people actually come and take the water, myself included.

Then it was off to the hotel. We arrived rather early so we had some time to go to their public bath. It was compulsary for us to wear their "outfit" then we went to the public bath and since it was a hot spring hotel, you can wear that outfit everywhere you go!! This particular outfit has the nickname "ninja turtle" and it needs no explanation.

Dinner!! International Buffet!!

Our hotel room.

Day 3
First stop was this 2 waterfalls, one masculine and the other feminine.

Farm Tomita, where tourists would go in the month of july, the lavendar season.

Chocolate Factory cum Museum.

Dinner yum yum!!

Hotel's "Outfit"

Day 4
Toilet break. Even their stopover destinations are beautiful.

Samurai Village. The guy at the entrance is damn funny!! It was freaking cold over there.

Ninja Show

Geisha Show. One of the guys in my group was being called out to play a Warlord.

Lunch. A fishbone got stuck at the back of my mouth. Took me 15 mins and a lot of puking to get it out.

We then went to this place called Hell Valley. Its actually an area with volcanic activity.. You can actually see and smell the sulphur. Also water from the ground vapourising every second.

Next was a bear ranch where we can buy apples and feed the bears!! The bears know how to "act cute" so that you will feed them. They are huge!!

Check out the size of the apples. The strawberries are very sweet!!

The hotel that we stayed for the night had an outdoor area for us to soak our feet in.

Day 5
Our next destination was the city of Sapporo, Hokkaido's Central district. A rather cool place. Lots of shopping and it is not as crowded as our orchard road.

Pachinko!!!

Tempura for Lunch!!! Yum Yum. My first time eating that btw.

Our hotel room. Damn big.

We had Ramen for dinner.. Check out the size of the pork!!

Day 6
We went to this place which has some significance, but then again, I forgot what the guide said about it.

We were then brought to the music box museum. Its just like what the tourguide described. There are so many on display and they are all so cute that you wanna buy every single thing back.

After all that viewing, we took a walk outside.

Highly anticipated lunch!

After lunch we went shopping and dinner awaits.

Super ultra ATAS Kobe beef. SGD100 per plate. We ordered 2, I finished 1. And that is on top the spread that we already have. (pardon my smile, my mouth was full at that time)

General Knowledge time. 99% of the water closets there are high tech. They have buttons on the side. One sprays ur butt with water. Can't really remember what the others do. Oh and the really high tech ones have heated toilet seats. So all ur "rubbish" will not rush back up when your behind touches a cold toilet seat, especially in a winter country.

Day 7.
Back to Chitose Airport. We roamed around here and there, doing some last minute shopping.

Even their escalator handrails have their award winning chocolate.

Touched down at Hanada Airport and we were brought to Aeon Shopping centre.

Had our lunch and then off we were to Narita Airport. We said our goodbyes to our tourguide and checked our luggage in. However, we had some time so we walked around the airport's shopping centre.

Home sweet home.
